Georgette Geller has been successfully providing financial advice and superior service to her clients since 1989.   After receiving her bachelor’s degree in Economics and Business from Boston University, she began her career with AXA Advisors, LLC as a telemarketer then went on to become a financial sales associate.  After just four years in the business, she was promoted to Divisional Vice President and in 2006 was promoted to her current position of Executive Vice President responsible for the entire Connecticut operation.   In her first year as an Executive Vice President, Georgette was the recipient of the Bronze President’s Trophy.  Currently she is only one of three women within AXA in this position.  

As Executive Vice President for AXA Advisors, LLC Georgette works to foster a professional agency environment by recruiting individuals who have the drive and commitment to succeed in the financial services industry.  From her 23 years of industry experience, she helps ensure that financial professionals receive the training, guidance, skills and knowledge they need to achieve their professional goals, offering continued support as their business and career needs change.

 Serving as a member of the Old Guard Executive Committee for her 4th year, Georgette is the head of the Diversity and Human Resources Committee.  In addition to her duties as an Executive Vice President, Georgette formed the Women’s Leadership Council in which she mentors the entire women’s workforce within AXA.  She holds monthly conference calls which has drawn up to 200 attendees from all over the country.  She also is the chairperson of the Women’s Summit hosted yearly where she promotes best practices and joint work and helps women maximize personal and career potential.  In her spare time, she hosts Employee Educational Seminars and participates at industry related events as a guest speaker.   Most recently, she was a guest speaker at the 2012 GAMA International’s Annual Leadership and Management Conference where presented on how managers at financial services companies can effectively recruit and source women to work at their organizations.

 Recognized for her achievements, Georgette has received numerous management and sales honors.    Those awards include; the Bronze President’s Trophy, National Leader Corp (6), District Leadership Award (4), Bronze Divisional Builders Trophy, Developing District Award, Gold Distinguished Performance Citation, Silver Distinguished Performance Citation, President’s Cabinet (3), and the Silver Production Growth Award.  Most recently Georgette was presented with the 2011 Leadership Team Award from GAMA International which recognizes outstanding leadership, sales performance and client service.

Active in the industry, Georgette is a lifetime member of the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table.  She is also a member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and GAMA International.    Georgette is a recognized business leader and is active in numerous charitable and community organizations. 

Georgette’s office is located in Connecticut.  She resides in Westport with her husband, Walter Petro and their four children, Adam, Julia, Kate and Jack and their three dogs.
